• 1984 - Graduated from the 1st Moscow Medical Institute named after I.M. Sechenov;
• 1984-1988 - Completed residency and postgraduate studies at the All-Union Cardiology Research Center of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences.

• 1986-2008 - Worked in the Tomography Department of the Russian Cardiology Research Center of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation;
• Since 2008, has held the position of Head of the Radiation Diagnostics Center of the Federal State Institution "Treatment and Rehabilitation Center of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation".

Research Activity:

• 1988 - Defended the first dissertation in the USSR for a PhD in Medicine, dedicated to cardiac MRI;
• Editorial Board Member of 4 domestic and 3 international journals on radiation diagnostics;
• Author and co-author of more than 400 publications in domestic and international publications, 13 monographs, and 2 textbooks on radiation diagnostics. Head of the Radiology Course at the Faculty of Fundamental Medicine, Lomonosov Moscow State University;
• Professor, Department of Radiology, Russian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education;
• Under the supervision of Professor V.E. Sinitsyn, 30 candidate's and 4 doctoral dissertations have been defended.

Member of the executive and organizing committees of national and international societies:

• Society of Specialists in Diagnostic Radiology, European Society of Radiology (ESR), European Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine and Biology (ESMRMB). He is Vice President of the European Society of Cardiovascular Radiology (ESCR). In 2011, he was elected Second Vice President of the European Congress of Radiology.
• President of the European Congress of Radiology (ECR) in 2014.
• President of the Congress of the Russian Association of Radiologists in 2015.
• Distinguished Fellow of the American College of Radiology (ACR). Member of the North American Society of Radiologists (RSNA).
• In 2016, he was elected President of the Russian Society of Roentgenologists and Radiologists (ROSR).
• He was awarded the Russian Federation State Prize in Science and Technology.
