Vladimir M. Moiseenko

Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation

Graduated from the 1st Leningrad Medical Institute named after Academician I. P. Pavlov in 1978. That same year, he began working at the N. N. Petrov Cancer Research Institute, where he worked for over 30 years, rising from a resident to Deputy Director for Research. He defended his PhD dissertation in 1984 and his doctoral dissertation in 1994.

Since March 2013, Professor Moiseenko has headed the N. P. Napalkov Cancer Center.

He is the author of four monographs and has published over 350 works in Russian and international journals. He is also the Editor-in-Chief of the journal "Practical Oncology," the publication of the "Russian School of Oncologists," which he founded.

Under the supervision and advice of Professor V. M. Moiseenko, six doctors of science and nineteen candidates of medical science have been trained.

In 2002, he was awarded the St. Petersburg Governor's Certificate of Merit "For Services to Healthcare" and the "300th Anniversary of St. Petersburg" medal. In 2004, he was awarded the Russian Federation Government Prize in Science and Technology. In 2005, he was awarded the title of Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation. He is a member of the American Association of Clinical Oncologists (ASCO) and the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO).

In 2022, he was elected a Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
