Education:

Education Level: Higher. Graduated from the Russian State Medical University in 2003 with a degree in Medical Biochemistry. From 2004 to 2006, she completed a residency in Laboratory Genetics. In 2009, she successfully defended her dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences in the specialties Oncology and Genetics. In 2025, she successfully defended her dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences in the specialty Genetics.

Research Interests:

Primary research interests include molecular tumor genetics, genetic heterogeneity, and the molecular etiopathogenesis of cancer. She is the project manager for national testing programs at the laboratory. Since 2011, as part of the program, the laboratory has annually performed thousands of clinical laboratory tests to identify molecular genetic abnormalities in various tumor types, particularly breast, ovarian, prostate, lung, colorectal, and thyroid cancers, to ensure the timely administration of targeted drugs. Kekeeva T.V. is involved in the development and implementation of new testing protocols, conducts educational lectures for practicing oncologists, regularly presents papers at congresses, moderates sections of scientific and practical events, and conducts training seminars for geneticists and oncologists.

Kekeeva T.V. has developed dozens of protocols for molecular genetic diagnostics of oncological diseases, which have been implemented in the practice of the Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution "Research Center for Medical Genetics," the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Moscow Oncology Research Institute named after A.N. P. A. Herzen National Research Medical University of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation, the outpatient department of the I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation, and several medical genetic consultation centers in Russia and the CIS.

 

She has over 100 publications, 7 chapters in monographs, 5 medical technologies, 3 patents, and an h-index of 12 (RSCI).

Additional information:

  1. V. Kekeyeva is a mentor to highly qualified researchers. Under her supervision, four diploma theses and one candidate dissertation have been prepared and successfully defended. She was awarded the gold medal of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences for her work "Molecular Genetic Changes in Prostate Cancer" in 2008. She was a laureate of the 2009 Russian Government Prize in Science and Technology for Young Scientists. She was awarded a letter of gratitude from the Russian Ministry of Health in 2021.
