Professor S.A. Tyulyandin is a specialist in the drug treatment of malignant neoplasms, having developed effective treatment methods for a variety of oncological diseases (testicular and ovarian germ cell tumors, breast tumors, etc.). He has presented the results of his own research at numerous international and Russian conferences, symposia, and congresses.

He has made significant contributions to the study of new, effective anticancer drugs. Under his direct participation and supervision, clinical trials and the introduction into clinical practice of new classes of anticancer drugs have been conducted, including platinum derivatives, epidophyllotoxins, taxanes, targeted agents, including angiogenesis inhibitors, and monoclonal antibodies to receptors and growth factors of malignant tumors. These advances have significantly improved treatment outcomes for many cancer patients. Advances in the treatment of germ cell tumors make it possible to cure the vast majority of patients with these diseases.

Currently, he is actively involved in organizing and conducting international and domestic clinical trials in the field of drug treatment for patients with various oncological diseases. The results of these studies are published in prestigious international and domestic medical journals. He is actively involved in the development of Russian and international standards for the treatment of malignant tumors (RUSSCO, NCCN, ESMO).

Scientific publications

For many years, he served as the editor-in-chief of the oncology portal RosOncoWeb, the editor-in-chief of the Russian version of the Journal of Clinical Oncology, and a member of the editorial boards of numerous Russian and international medical journals. For many years, he chaired the annual Russian Oncology Congress. He is the author of over 230 scientific publications, including six monographs. He supervised the defense of over 20 PhD dissertations and two doctoral dissertations.
