Существует мнение, что системное действие радиотерапии опосредовано иммунологическими феноменами. В связи с последними успехами иммунотерапии растет интерес к совместному применению с лучевой терапией с целью увеличения частоты системных эффектов. Однако частота возникновения абскопальных эффектов после применения стандартно- го лучевого лечения остается невысокой. В этом аспекте, стереотаксическая лучевая терапия (СТЛТ), учитывая свои выраженные иммуногенные свойства, высокие показатели локального контроля, низкую токсичность и короткие сроки лечения, по‑видимому, является наиболее подходящим партнером для иммунотерапии у больных с метастатическими формами злокачественных новообразований.
