Ведь ошибка в выборе лечения может быть чрезвычайно опасна для прогноза у пациента. В качестве примера можно вспомнить герминогенные опухоли, при которых при исходно правильном терапевтическом подходе наступает выздоровление пациента даже при отдаленных метастазах. Однако первоначально неверно выбранный режим химиотерапии (для лимфомы яичка, серозного рака яичников или внеорганной забрюшинной саркоме) снижает шансы выздоровления в разы. Таким образом, необходимо не только знать, какие особенности в лечении определяет диагноз редких опухолей, но и быть уверенным в работе морфолога.
