Существуют отдельные протоколы по реабилитации, опубликованные крупными онкоортопедическими клиниками. В Российской Федерации таких работ в настоящее время нет. Проведен анализ функциональных результатов ранней послеоперационной реабилитации пациентов с поражением позвоночника и крестца, разработанной на основе международных рекомендаций. Полученные данные достоверно свидетельствуют об улучшении качества жизни, мобильности у пациентов, получивших комплексную реабилитацию, по сравнению с группой контроля, которой восстановительное лечение не проводилось.
