Частота симптоматических МГМ составляет 8–10% от числа онкологических больных, тогда как число МГМ без клинических проявлений по данным аутопсийных исследований достигает 20% – 40% от всех больных со злокачественными опухолями [<xref ref-type="bibr" rid="cit18">18</xref>].</p><p>Достижения в области онкологии позволили увеличить продолжительность жизни больных со злокачественными опухолями, что, в свою очередь, привело к нарастанию частоты развития МГМ, а совершенствование методов нейровизуализации – к увеличению их регистрации.</p><p>Развитие МГМ является фактором неблагоприятного прогноза: медиана выживаемости у больных с неоперабельными МГМ и симптоматическим лечением составляет только 51 день.
